'I can see why' - Wales icon makes admission over Harry Wilson's lack of Leeds United action
Harry Wilson’s start to life at Leeds United has been assessed by a former Wales star
Wales icon Dean Saunders has admitted he “can see why” Harry Wilson has not been starting regularly for Leeds United.
Wilson was a marquee signing for Leeds in the summer transfer window, arriving on a free transfer from Fulham having enjoyed a career-best campaign with the Cottagers.
The 29-year-old winger had previously been of interest to the Whites and he was widely lauded as a coup after putting pen to paper.
He has not hit the ground running in West Yorkshire, managing just two league starts and struggling to make a significant impact.

Dean Saunders on Harry Wilson
Former Wales international forward and ex-Doncaster Rovers boss Saunders understands why Wilson has not been starting much, but has backed him to find form.
He told Betpack: “Harry Wilson is a really talented player, and he definitely showed what he is capable of at Fulham last season. Leeds haven’t seen the best of him yet, but I’m sure that will come soon.
“I’m sure Harry is getting slightly frustrated at his lack of game time, but Leeds are in great form at the moment, what they are doing is really causing teams problems.
“Although after saying that, I imagine Daniel Farke has a plan for Harry. He is extremely creative going forward. In games against the top sides in the league, I can see why Farke isn’t starting him.
“Harry isn’t the quickest, but he has a brilliant football brain that allows him to unlock teams, creating chances and also scoring plenty of goals.

“I think Farke will use him much more often when they play teams that they expect to sit deeper against them, where creativity is more important than work rate.
“Harry will be frustrated about not playing, but I’m sure the manager is keeping him in the loop about his plans for him. He will want to play football, but I think if he bides his time, he will prove his value to Leeds in no time.”
