Sheffield United 'reject' deadline day bid from Burnley for Harrison Burrows
Sheffield United are said to have knocked back a Burnley bid for one of their first-team figures
Sheffield United have reportedly rejected a bid from Burnley for wing-back Harrison Burrows.
The 24-year-old has been on the books at Bramall Lane since 2024, when he was lured from League One outfit Peterborough United.
He has since amassed 96 appearances for the club, weighing in with 11 goals and 10 assists.

Harrison Burrows bid ‘rejected’
There was talk of interest in the left wing-back from West Ham United earlier in the summer and he now appears to be of interest to Burnley.
The Clarets, who were relegated to the Championship last season, are said to have seen an offer rejected.
Posting on X, Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke said: “Understand Burnley have had a bid rejected by Sheffield United for full-back Harrison Burrows.”
According to The Star’s Danny Hall, Burnley tabled an offer in the region of £3.5m that would have potentially risen to £5m with add-ons. He has also suggested the Clarets are expected to go back in for Burrows in the final hours of the transfer window.
Sheffield United’s deadline day activity
Sheffield United have already lost playmaker Callum O’Hare to Wrexham and it would spark a considerable degree of fan anger if Burrows was sold at this stage of the window.
The transfer deadline is 11pm and the Blades would have very little time to go out and secure a replacement.

On the recruitment front, Sheffield United have managed to strike a deal to sign defender Liam Kitching on loan from Coventry City.
The move has marked a return to Yorkshire for the centre-back, who is a graduate of Leeds United’s academy and counts Barnsley and Harrogate Town among his former clubs.
Away from transfers, Sheffield United are gearing up to host Bolton Wanderers tonight (September 1).
