Sheffield United 'reject' £13m bid from Championship rivals Leeds United for key figure
The combative midfielder was linked with Leeds last summer, when he was on the books of Coventry City, but Sheffield United secured his signature following their promotion to the Premier League.
He was a bright light in a dismal 2023/24 campaign for the Blades, endearing himself to the Bramall Lane faithful with his all-action displays in midfield. However, it appears his form has once again attracted interest from West Yorkshire.

Blades boss Chris Wilder had spoken of receiving a bid that was “a million miles off” their valuation, with the report claiming he was referring to Leeds’ bid for Hamer.
Speaking ahead of Sheffield United’s Carabao Cup clash with Barnsley, Wilder said: “I've been honest and upfront and realistic, all at the same time, regarding us as a club. If bids do come for players, they have to be considered and I don't know what to expect over the next four or five days.
“There have been a couple of bids for players; one was pretty close and another was a million miles off. If and when decisions on players get made by the board then I'll get notified and we have to have a plan and be ready. It's a bit of me looking into the future and trying to see who potentially might go.”
It has now been suggested Leeds will cool their interest in Hamer, with BBC Radio Leeds reporter Adam Pope claiming he has been told another move is unlikely.
Leeds do, however, appear to be closing in on the loan signing of winger Manor Solomon. The Israel international joined Tottenham Hotspur last year but has found first-team opportunities limited.
