Bradford Bulls down to 16 fit players - but Kurt Haggerty insists they will fulfil Toulouse Olympique fixture
Kurt Haggerty insists Bradford Bulls will fulfil Saturday's away clash with Toulouse Olympique despite being left with just 16 available first-team players amid a worsening injury crisis.
The Bulls boss is without as many as 17 squad members after Ethan Ryan, Joe Keyes, Dan Russell and Loghan Lewis joined the casualty list during last week's 62-10 defeat to Leigh Leopards.
Haggerty is preparing to dig deep into his reserves ahead of the trip to France.
"At this moment in time, I've got a squad of 33 and 17 of those players are unavailable," he said.
"We will fulfil Saturday's fixture. Right now, I'm not 100 per cent sure how but we'll get 17.
"The loan deadline has gone so it'll be bringing a couple of kids up from the academy and reserves to travel with us and play."
Bradford, who have won just three games since March, sit bottom of Super League with three rounds to go.
Their season has been shaped by injuries, leaving Haggerty with little choice but to turn to untested youngsters.

"One of those is potentially Harvey Ward," said Haggerty. "He's a young, exciting outside back who is desperate for an opportunity.
"He's not actually a full first-team player. The kid works alongside training so it's an unbelievable opportunity if he plays.
"He's physically capable. There's a duty of care but the injury situation is now critical and unfortunately I'm not in a position where I can pick and choose.
"If we weren't so deep into the season with only two games to go after this weekend, I think it'd become a bigger issue. But I'm hoping we can get 17 out there this week and for the rest of the season."
