'Easy decision': Jake Trueman commits long-term future to Wakefield Trinity
Jake Trueman has signed a new long-term deal to hand Wakefield Trinity a boost ahead of Sunday's Challenge Cup quarter-final against Wigan Warriors.
The 27-year-old, whose previous deal was due to expire next year, is now contracted to the club until the end of 2030.
Trueman has found a home at Belle Vue since reuniting with his former Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell, highlighting his value to Trinity in the early months of this season.
The Bradford native is an ever-present for Powell's in-form side as they continue to go from strength to strength.

"I'm really happy to secure my future at Wakefield," said Trueman.
"I've loved my time here so far and once the club came to me about extending it was an easy decision.
"I love the boys and all the coaching staff. I feel like the club is a great place to be now.
"With Matt (Ellis, owner) leading the club forward and the energy from the fans and the city, I'm confident it's only going to get better."
Trueman joins Caleb Hamlin-Uele, Harvey Smith and Jayden Myers in committing to Wakefield until the end of 2030 as part of the club's long-term planning.
Powell believes the sky is the limit for the talented playmaker.
"I see a young man who is growing in every way on and off the field," said the Trinity boss.
"If he can play consistently over a number of years and continues growing, he can be one of the best players in this country.
"What's important for him is consistency and being at a place that believes in him. It's a huge re-signing for us."
