Jack Brown calls time on 'special' Hull KR spell for fresh Super League challenge

Hull KR prop Jack Brown has secured a release from his contract, paving the way for a move to Castleford Tigers.

The 25-year-old joined the Robins from cross-city rivals Hull FC in May 2024 as part of a swap deal that took Yusuf Aydin to the MKM Stadium.

Brown made 32 appearances for Rovers, including last year's Wembley success and a farewell appearance in Saturday’s Challenge Cup final defeat to Wigan Warriors.

The Hull native did not play in the 2025 Super League Grand Final but featured 11 times during KR's title-winning campaign.

"It's been a special two years," said Brown.

"Coming to Hull KR was special for me and my family. I was a Hull KR supporter as a young lad so to come over and play for the club has been great.

"Doing it for my family was a big reason I signed for the club. To be able to do that and win silverware along the way has been special."

Brown's departure from Craven Park follows the recent arrival of Tevita Pangai Junior.

Although he was not a regular during his time at the club, Brown's efforts were not lost on Willie Peters.

"On behalf of Hull KR, I would like to thank Jack for his contribution to the club and professionalism throughout his time with us," said the Rovers boss.

"Jack departs Hull KR having been a valued member of the squad. We wish Jack and his family all the very best for the future."
