Summer-long 'retreat' featuring water park, beach and fairground rides could be coming to Yorkshire

A new summer holiday attraction could be created in Sheffield featuring an aqua park, beach area and fairground rides.

Meadowhall Contracts Ltd asked Sheffield Council for permission to use the orange zone area of the shopping centre’s car park, near the Oasis Food Court, for a summer-long “retreat” called Love Summer run by Crow Events.

It would feature an aqua splash park with inflatable rides and pools, rollercoaster rides, a beach area with 60 tonnes of sand and a dinning area with a bar offering artisan drinks and high end cocktails.
