St Chad's stepped up their Division One title challenge by trouncing former leaders Scarcroft by 101 runs.

Khawar Yasin (7-15) routed Scarcroft for 101 after Steve Zwolinsky (41), Mark Bailey (34) and Dan Izzard (33no) had steered St Chad's to 204-8.

St Chad's climbed above Scarcroft to second place, five points behind champions Old Modernians.

Shaun Delaney bagged 4-17 in Modernians' six-wicket win at bottom side East Keswick who were skittled for 69.

Barwick in Elmet's championship hopes were dented by a 32-run run defeat at Kirk Deighton.

Richard Ward (4-43) and Nick Ryder (3-44) limited Barwick to 164-9, replying to Deighton's 196-9 that included 56 by Stuart Ruddick and 42 from Chris Malthouse.

Shadwell stayed in touch with the pacesetters with a five-wicket victory at Wetherby who were restricted to 104-9 by West Indian Ryan Hercules (6-22).

Spofforth's 83-run victory over Walton featured a club record second-wicket partnership of 237 between Jarrod Martignago (143) and James Roberts (105).

Imran Aziz (60no), Mustafa Bhatti (58no), Ali Rizwan (4-30) and Syed Ahmed (4-45) led Leeds Police to a six-wicket victory against strugglers Great Preston.
