'It's everything' - Ryan Ledson keen to get disgruntled Huddersfield Town fans back on side
Ryan Ledson is keen to get disgruntled Huddersfield Town supporters back on side.
Huddersfield’s form has nosedived and the Terriers have won just one of their last six league games, losing four.
Fans have - understandably - been left frustrated after a summer filled with talk of change at the Accu Stadium.
Ledson was among the high-profile summer arrivals, joining from Preston North End and picking up the captaincy baton from club legend Jonathan Hogg.
The 28-year-old spoke candidly as he previewed Huddersfield’s upcoming clash with Plymouth Argyle, outlining the importance of a united front in West Yorkshire.

Ryan Ledson’s positivity drive
When asked about the importance of getting fans on side, the midfielder said: "It's massive - it's everything. Especially at home, we can only look at the games we've won at home and got the crowd on side and the atmosphere, that gets us going.
“We were unbeaten for the first five or six at home. We know it's there. It's down to us to perform on the pitch, for them to feed off that, and also for us to feed off them. If there's positivity in the crowd, there's going to be positivity on the pitch. I feel like us all together can become one and make it difficult at this place.”

‘Nowhere near good enough’
Huddersfield have looked startlingly unconvincing of late and exited the FA Cup last weekend, losing to Bolton Wanderers.
A midweek Vertu Trophy win over Mansfield Town was a start, but the 2-1 victory must now be built upon if Huddersfield are to change the mood around the club.
Ledson said: "When you lose five games in all competitions, it's nowhere near good enough. It's been known to people, to us all, that it's not good enough, not for a club this size.
“We take it home with us. We live it, we breathe it. It's not good enough but we're big enough and ugly enough to take it on the chin. We've got 12 senior lads out injured which is tough, but you've got to show up every day and work hard. You can't go hiding - and that's what it's about.
"It’s up to us senior lads to get us through games like that and difficult moments, and we’ve definitely been through a difficult moment at this stage, but it’s about us to stand up.
“The experienced lads are big enough and ugly enough to take it on the chin. But I’ll tell you one thing we won’t do is we won’t hide away from the fact that we’ve got to win games of football again.”
