Here are the latest Yorkshire transfer headlines on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Leeds United forward breaks silence on future

Joel Piroe is still determined to prove himself in the Premier League with Leeds United.

The forward was afforded just two league starts last season and has been linked with Middlesbrough and Rangers. However, the 26-year-old has insisted he still sees his future at Elland Road.

He told Flashscore: “I just want to prove myself with Leeds in the Premier League. I had a little bit of the feeling that I didn't want to run away from the challenge [in the winter transfer window].

“If the start is not going as I want it to, then after just half a season to run away from the challenge, that didn't feel right as well. I thought to myself, 'why run away after half a season when you have not experienced like a full season in the Premier League?'. I still see my future there.”

Sheffield United sign experienced defender

The 34-year-old right-back was released by Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of last season and has now penned a one-year deal at Bramall Lane. There is also a 12-month extension option in the contract.

Blades boss Chris Wilder said: “There's no doubting we are getting a player here who knows what it takes to be successful. You've got to be a seriously good player to have played as many times as he has for the likes of Wolves, Spurs and Atletico Madrid.”

Hull City eye Norwich City star

Hull City are said to hold an interest in Norwich City defender Kellen Fisher.

A right-back by trade, 22-year-old Fisher has made over 100 appearances since joining the Canaries from Bromley in 2023.

Newly-promoted Premier League outfit are thought to be exploring the conditions of a potential deal for the England youth international.

It has been indicated Middlesbrough have agreed a deal to sign the forward for an initial fee of £10m and a further £10m in potential add-ons.

Sheffield Wednesday eye attacking midfielder

Sheffield Wednesday have been credited with interest in Aston Villa playmaker Tommi O’Reilly.

The 22-year-old impressed in League Two last season during a loan spell at Crewe Alexandra, and is now reportedly being eyed for a temporary switch to League One.
