Yorkshire’s Transfer Deadline Day - Live

Harrogate leave it late

Just before the window closed, Harrogate Town nipped in with the loan signings of winger Samuel Folarin from Middlesbrough and Josh Colley from Exeter City.

Another one for Harrogate Town:

Huddersfield Town attacker Danny Grant.

The 22-year-old signed for the Terriers in December 2020 following an impressive three seasons at League of Ireland Premier League side Bohemian.

Done deal

Harrogate Town have signed Dior Angus. The 28-year-old striker signs on a permanent deal from Wrexham, having spent the last 18 months with the National League club.

Coventry-born Angus started his career at Solihull Moors, featuring for a number of non-league clubs such as Banbury United, Kidderminster and Redditch in his early career.

Angus’ form in front of goal at The Reds earned the striker a first move to the Football League with Port Vale, having netted 17 goals in 23 matches.

Frontrunner emerges for Barnsley star Styles

MILLWALL have made a beat-the-deadline loan move to sign Barnsley midfielder Callum Styles.

The 22-year-old, who is keen to leave the Reds and return to the Championship, has been linked with a number of second-tier clubs ahead of the deadline including Sheffield United, Stoke City, Hull City and Blackburn Rovers.

Greek outfit Olympiakos and Turkish giants Beskitas, managed by ex-Reds head coach Valerien Ismael, were linked with the Hungary international earlier this summer.

Millwall now face a race against time to land Styles.

Michal Helik is expected to complete a move to Huddersfield before the deadline, while Clarke Oduor could leave on the loan.

On the incoming front, Burnley midfielder Adam Phillips has been linked with a move to Oakwell and is a target.

Speaking on Thursday morning, head coach Michael Duff said: “He’s a good player, I know him from Burnley and he did well at Morecambe. But if I went through every name we’ve looked at, we’d be sat here until the next window.”

New signing for Doncaster Rovers

“It’s a club with big aspirations and I’m really excited to be a part of it.”

Blow for Boro in pursuit of midfielder

Middlesbrough are set to miss out on Josh Onomah. The Fulham midfielder and ex-Sheffield Wednesday loanee has reportedly passed his medical at West Brom ahead of joining on loan.

Hull City continue to trade with addition of third new face of the day

GREEK INTERNATIONAL attacking midfielder Dimitrios Pelkas has become Hull City's third signing of deadline day - and 15th of a frenetic transfer window.

Pelkas has joined on a season-long loan from Turkish Süper Lig side Fenerbahçe and follows the arrivals of fellow midfielders Xavier Simons and Adama Traore, who have also added to City’s ranks ahead of the cut-off point for transfers.

Meanwhile, in the Leeds United camp ...

Leeds United are refusing to comment on reports they have walked away from talks to sign Bamba Dieng hours after chairman Andrea Radrizzani urged fans to "welcome" the Senegal striker to Elland Road.

Having been rebuffed days earlier, Nice are thought to have returned with an offer which is expected to land the 22-year-old centre-forward when it looked as if he would be heading to West Yorkshire.

If it proves to be the case, the news could have a knock-on effect with Dan James said to be undergoing a medical at Fulham.

Terriers add second new face of Transfer Deadline Day

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN have secured their second signing of deadline day with the addition of Manchester City's teenage centre-half Luke Mbete on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old's capture follows on from the arrival of Ipswich Town striker Tyreece Simpson, with Town working towards finalising the transfer of Barnsley defender Michal Helik ahead of the 11pm deadline.

London-born Mbete has made eight senior appearances for City, having joined from Brentford's academy as a under-12.
