Leeds United's pursuit of Norwich City star Jonathan Rowe latest as Fabrizio Romano issues update
Daniel Farke’s side kicked off their Championship campaign at the weekend, drawing 3-3 with newly-promoted Portsmouth. Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James started on the flanks, with Crysencio Summerville now on the books of West Ham United.
Rowe has been strongly linked with Leeds, with the Canaries wideman thought to have been identified as a potential Summerville replacement. However, he has also been reported as a target for Ligue 1 side Marseille.

He told GiveMeSport: “Yeah, Leeds are still considering this possibility. To be honest, it’s not an easy one, but potentially yes. To answer your question, there is still a chance to try again in this moment.
"Again, it is not considered super easy, but I would keep the doors open for this one until the end of the window. “
Norwich visited Oxford United for their season opener and Rowe was absent following a discussion with Canaries boss Johannes Hoff Thorup. Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the club’s 2-0 defeat, Thorup said: “My feelings are maybe not that important for now.

"He was maybe not ready to perform today. For me, [it was] quite an easy decision to take to replace him with another guy.”
Pressure for Leeds to recruit has heightened since Leeds’ underwhelming opening day display. New faces have arrived at Elland Road but the club have also parted with some key figures.
As well as Summerville, Leeds have also lost teenage sensation Archie Gray and midfielder Glen Kamara. The former has joined Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, while Kamara has linked up with Rennes in France.
