'We know what’s coming' - Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray outlines plan for Sheffield United clash
Tony Mowbray has previewed Blackburn Rovers’ Championship meeting with Sheffield United
Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray is aware of of Sheffield United’s desire to get balls in the opposition box - and wants to do the same.
Mowbray and Wilder have done battle on a number of occasions over the years, most recently squaring off a fortnight ago in the Carabao Cup.
Sheffield United were the victors at Ewood Park, securing a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from Tom Cannon and Romelle Donovan.
The two sides will be reunited tonight (September 8), this time locking horns in the Championship.

Tony Mowbray on Sheffield United test
Mowbray told Rovers TV: “Ben’s there, isn’t he? Ben Brereton Diaz, he’s there on loan again this year, Joe Rothwell is an option for them as well. Patrick Bamford up top, Tom Cannon, [Japhet] Tanganga at the back.
“[They are] players we know, players who have been in the Championship a long time, but physical players who play a direct brand of football because Chris likes to get balls in the opposition box and ask questions of them. We know what’s coming and hopefully we’ve got the ammunition to see them off and give them some problems.
“Without giving too much away, it’s a big task for us, but a great game for us to try and get our brand of football going, to ask some questions of them, to get the ball in their box, to get enough bodies in there to score some goals and win a game.
“Other teams are allowed to be pretty good, they’re allowed to have good players. We have to accept that, that other teams can give us problems. We need to be positive, we need to be aggressive, we need to be on the front foot.”

Surprises up Tony Mowbray’s sleeve
Clubs sometimes rotate when the fixtures come thick and fast but neither Sheffield United or Blackburn are blessed with particularly enviable depth.
Mowbray, however, has claimed there could be some surprises when he names his starting XI.
He said: “Let’s wait and see. I think there might be a surprise or two watching who starts this game.”
