York derby '¨in Cup draw

Last night’s draw threw up two derbies between League 1 clubs and their local amateur teams, with Rochdale Mayfield hosting Rochdale Hornets.

There are just nine surviving amateur outfits from the first two rounds.

Toulouse, who have returned to play in the Cup after a five-year absence, face Wath Brow Hornets in the third round draw, which was made in Wrexham by Lee Briers and Paul Rowley.

3rd round draw: Hunslet v Barrow, Oxford v Castleford Lock Lane, Rochdale Mayfield v Rochdale Hornets, Pilkington Recs v London Skolars, Kells v Hemel Stags, West Hull v Doncaster, York City Knights v York Acorn, Siddal v Newcastle Thunder, North Wales Crusaders v University of Gloucs, Wath Brow Hornets v Toulouse, Keighley v Coventry, Featherstone Lions v South Wales Scorpions.

Ties to be played on February 27-28.
