North Yorkshire Moors Railway: When is Santa Claus coming to NYMR, how can I book a ticket and what are the ticket prices?

Santa Claus and his elves will be visiting passengers at either Pickering or Grosmont station before embarking on a festive adventure aboard the Santa Express organised by North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

This magical experience will see Santa and his elves pass through the heritage carriages, which will allow children to meet the legend himself on board the train. Mr Claus will also be giving each child a present onboard, as long as they are on the ‘nice list’ this year.

When is Santa Claus coming to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway?

The event runs from December 3, 2022 at 9.30am all the way through to December 24, 2022 and finishes at 3.30pm.

How can I book a ticket, what are the ticket prices and what is included?

You can book a ticket to depart from either Pickering station or Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway website.

An adult or child fare is £30 per person and includes a present and backpack for each child.

The tickets include the following:

- Santa will visit you in your seat and check his list to see if you’ve been good or bad.

- You will get to meet Santa’s Helpers onboard where there will be games and activities to enjoy.

- A soft toy for children between the ages of one and 15 will be provided which they can complete themselves (a new character for the 2022 Santa Specials).

- An NYMR Christmas backpack.

- The return journey will last roughly one hour on board the Santa Express from Pickering or Grosmont.
