The summer transfer window opens in just four days and clubs are busy readying their squads for the season ahead. Even though the window has not yet opened, deals for out-of-contract players are being agreed and the rumour mill is turning at pace.

Charlie Cresswell is reportedly on his way out of Leeds United, with clubs in Europe said to be keen on securing his services. The 21-year-old has struggled for minutes under Daniel Farke and did not make the bench for the Championship play-off final.

French outfit Toulouse have been linked with the former Millwall loanee, as have German sides Hertha Berlin and Hannover. Leeds are reportedly wanting £3m plus add-ons for the imposing centre-back.

Sheffield United stalwart attracts interest

Derby County and Watford have been linked with Sheffield United stalwart Ben Osborn. The midfielder looked set to stay at Bramall Lane but reports have suggested an option to extend his contract may not be taken.

He has been on the Sheffield United books since 2019, when he joined from Nottingham Forest.

Leeds United playmaker set for surprise stay

Brenden Aaronson’s Leeds United days appeared numbered but the playmaker is reportedly set to stay at Elland Road. Positive talks regarding a reintegration are said to have place between Aaronson and White boss Daniel Farke.

Former Barnsley midfielder set for move

Charlton Athletic have reportedly agreed a deal to sign former Barnsley midfielder Luke Berry. Luton Town have allowed the 31-year-old to seek pastures new and it appears he is set to return to the third tier.

Return to football in the offing for ex-Leeds United winger

Former Leeds United winger Helder Costa could reportedly return to the game after seven months without a club. Reports have suggested he has emerged on the radar of Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal.

Charlton Athletic land former Hull City goalkeeper

Former Hull City goalkeeper has joined Charlton Athletic from Cambridge United on a free transfer. The 26-year-old left the MKM Stadium in 2020 after failing to make a senior breakthrough

After putting pen to paper at The Valley, he said: “It feels great to be here. When the manager called me, it definitely perked my ears up. Collectively, the goal is to push for promotion. That was made clear when I spoke to the gaffer, and that’s something that drew me to the club, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can do this season.”
