According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, a deal for Beto would be difficult to do early in the window considering the uncertainty surrounding Everton’s attacking department.

As it stands, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to leave Goodison Park as a free agent and has been linked with a clutch of clubs.

Armando Broja, meanwhile, looks set to return to Chelsea upon the expiry of his loan deal. Everton could, therefore, find themselves low on stock when it comes to forwards.
