Sheffield United v Bolton Wanderers: Chris Wilder says he can trust in Wrexham target Callum O'Hare
CHRIS WILDER says he will not be afraid to ask Callum O'Hare to play against Bolton Wanderers if the bid on the table from Wrexham is still live when the game kicks off.
Ridiculously, this year sees a busy programme of midweek Football League fixtures all due to finish within an hour-and-a-half of the transfer window closing at 11pm.
Although they re-signed Hamza Choudhury in time to face the Trotters in Tuesday's 7.45pm kick-off, the Blades were unable to land the new centre-back manager Wilder wants. It remains to be seen if that can be done before kick-off.

Such are the financial issues at Bramall Lane this summer, they are also vulnerable to players being taken away, with Wrexham pushing on with a number of deals in the hope one comes through.
"There’s been a bid put in by Wrexham (for O’Hare) so that’s with Steve (Bettis, the chief executive) and the owners," confirmed Wilder.
“I’m not surprised there’s been interest. I wouldn’t want him to go but I understand that there’s a bid in, and it’ll be dealt with by the people that deal with these things."
O'Hare has been made aware of it, and asked to put it out of his mind.

“It wasn’t a big chat,” revealed Wilder. “He understands that he’s got a job to do, to play for the football club. He’s under contract for us so get on with your job and prepare as professionally as he has done.
”He’s done well here for me and for the football club.”
Wilder – who has already seen Gustavo Hamer and Andre Brooks sold in this window – is confident O'Hare will be focussed if he plays.
“There are some players who you know their heads will be turned,” he said. "You have to speak to him and talk him through where it’s at, but Callum’s been first class for me right the way through.
"He’s a good player and, as a club, we don’t want to lose good players.”
They have gained one by picking up Choudhury on a free transfer from Leicester City.
Of the six players the Blades have signed this summer, four have played for the club before. Loanee Choudhury was a regular in the second half 2024-25 season, starting in midfield but establishing himself as first-choice right-back.
"I've never seen a happier player walk through the door to be reunited with him," said Wilder.
"He's a winner. He's won promotion, a big player in Enzo (Maresca)'s team that won the Championship three years ago.
"And for me, arguably, in the last 10 games (of 2024-25), he was arguably our best player
"It's going back to players that I know can do a job for us and know how to win in this division, both him and Ben (Brereton Diaz) certainly bolster our squad in numbers, quality and experience.
"It is really key to have boys that know how to win games of football and know what it's like to play for big clubs in a division. Hamza gets it straight away. Ben does."
As for the length of the 28-year-old's contract, Wilder was relaxed.
“That easily changes," he said. "It was just part of the negotiation. I’m looking at Hamza being here for the next two, three, four or five years."
Louie Marsh has joined Chesterfield on a season-long loan.
