I have an MA Hons in Politics and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen, and was a freelance journalist since 2018 working for a number of national and international publications, including The Independent, The Times, BBC, etc.
I have a keen interest in news, politics, current affairs, and elections, and am currently covering politics, finance, police, health, and environment stories focused on Scarborough, Whitby, and Filey.
This includes me writing stories about AirBnB conversions in Scarborough leading to evictions, covering the impact of shellfish deaths in Whitby on fishermen and the political response to that, funding of local initiatives in Filey, and other stories on the Yorkshire coast and their impact on the county.
I am based at The Scarborough News but work in and with The Yorkshire Post, BBC Radio York, and other regional and sometimes national outlets.
