I have been the Westminster Correspondent for the Yorkshire Post since summer 2021, reporting on how the goings on at the heart of Government impact the more than five million people who live and work across Yorkshire.
Since I started in journalism, political reporting was the goal, as I think every other aspect of life passes through this sphere at one point or another, and as a result it shapes everything that we engage with on a daily basis: From who collects the bins, to how the football clubs we watch on a Saturday are goverened.
Before joining the Yorkshire Post, I was a reporter with the Press Association based in London.
Having started as a trainee, I progressed to a general reporter, covering a range of stories from crime, to the royals, and across breaking news, before I took on a role working in Parliament.
